Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for recruitment to the posts of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havildar in various ministries and departments of the Central Government.

This is the biggest opportunity for 10th pass youth across the country to get a job in the Central Government.

Brief description of recruitment

Department: Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
Total Posts: 8,500+ (Expected)
PosT Name: MTS and Havildar (CBIC & CBN)
Qualification: 10th Pass (Matriculation)

important dates:

Applications Open: January 2026
Application Last Date: January 30, 2026
Exam Date: March-April 2026

Eligibility

  1. Age Limit: * For MTS: 18 to 25 years.
          For Havildar and some MTS posts: 18 to 27 years.
          (SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories will get relaxation in upper age limit as per government rules).

         2. Education: Candidate must have passed 10th class from any recognized board.

Selection Process :

         The selection for SSC MTS 2026 will be done in two stages:

              Computer Based Examination (CBE): This exam will be conducted in two sessions (Maths, Reasoning, English, and General Awareness).
              Physical Efficiency Test (PET/PST): For Havildar posts only.

 

Application Fee :

          General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
          Women/SC/ST/Divyang: No fee (Free)

Important information to fill the form (User Guide):

Since this is a new website, candidates need to follow these steps:

  1. One-Time Registration (OTR): If the user hasn’t registered on the new website yet, they must first create their new OTR profile by clicking ‘Register Now’. (Registrations from the old website will not work here)
    2. Login: After creating your profile, you will need to login with your Registration ID and password.
    3. Apply: After logging in, you can fill the form by clicking the ‘Apply’ button next to MTS 2026 in the ‘Latest Notifications’ section. 

Note: While applying candidates have to upload their Live Photo (from webcam or phone camera), which is the new rule of SSC new website.

Some important things:

Old registrations will not work: If someone previously registered on the old SSC website (ssc.nic.in), their registration will not work here. Every candidate will need to complete a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on this new website.


Aadhar Card Mandatory:
Aadhar Card or any other Government ID proof is required for registration.

 

Live Photo: On the new website, you don’t need to upload a photo when filling out the form; instead, you need to take a live photo using your mobile or computer camera.

“To fill the SSC MTS 2026 form, first complete your fresh registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in.
Without fresh registration you will not be able to apply.”
